When moving to Ireland there is some key information you should know. If you are not an Irish or EC citizen you will require a visa to live and work there. In order to import your household goods into the Ireland you will need to be cleared by the Irish Customs Service.
Used household goods and personal effects can be imported into Ireland free of duty and tax if
- you are moving your normal home to the EC,
- have had your normal home outside the EC for a continuous period of at least 12 months,
- have used your goods for at least six months before importing them,
- and will retain the goods for your own personal use.

For new goods and excise items like alcohol and tobacco, you will be expected to pay taxes and customs duties. VAT in Ireland is 23% at its highest and drops depending on the item. Your shipment can not arrive more than 6 month before your own arrival to Ireland or 12 months after your arrival to Ireland.
Used motor vehicles can be imported into Ireland free of duty and tax so long as you are moving your normal home to Ireland, have had your normal home outside the EC for a continuous period of at least 12 months, have possessed and used it for at least six months before shipping, and will retain it for your own personal use. Your vehicle can not arrive more than six months before your own arrival to Ireland or 12 months after your arrival to Ireland.

Yes we can. We have full storage services available. You can store all or some of your belongings.
Can you deliver packing supplies before the move?
Yes we will deliver all necessary packing materials to your door from few days to few weeks prior to the move, giving you plenty of time to pack your goods and prepare for the move.
Moving boxes or crates?
Boxes – once off payment; can hold on to them for as long as needed; recycled; Delivery free with any residential move; we can recycle them for free; made of cardboard, doubled walled;
Crates: payment – once a week; plastic, more durable and strong, weather resistant; no accumulation of boxes; One freed delivery with any residential move; Collection €10.00 + VAT;
Can I pack my own things?
Yes you can, so long as they are packed securely in quality packing cartons. Whilst you can save money it is important to know the we do not provide insurance coverage for damage on any items you pack.
Do I have to be present at my home during packing and removal?
This is not mandatory and sometimes not always possible but we recommend that you are present to ensure that the correct goods are being packed and moved.
When do I have to pay?
All charges are paid prior to moving with the exception of storage charges which are billed monthly.
